The Summer Bridge Program (SBP) is a five-week program that allows select first-time high school freshmen students the opportunity to experience high school English
prior to entering the fall term. Students will bridge the gap between middle school and high school academic coursework, enrichment activities, the opportunity to build relationships, and the opportunity to network with students, faculty, and teachers. Instruction and tutoring are an integral part of the CVUHSD Summer Bridge program.

What Happens During Summer Bridge/ English?
- Participants take English workshops, designed to enhance their academic performance at Leuzinger High School.
- Students will become familiar with high school academic expectations, campus resources , opportunities, career planning, cultural diversity, and to develop excellent study skills.
- Summer Bridge students are more prepared to experience the challenges of regular English classes.
